Admission: A poet I am not.
However, when the opportunity arose–a poetry contest to be exact–I couldn’t resist. It wasn’t just any old contest, mind you. It was for a poem with a theme fit for Beachcombing magazine, so, you see, I had to try. I pulled from my many happy memories and poured them into this poem. I did not win but had great fun composing the little rhyme and would like to invite you to read it on my Other Writings page if you wish.
Sometimes if you never attempt something, even if its out of your comfort zone, you will always “wonder”. It’s okay to fail. Trying can be so satisfying. May you be encouraged to try something new today and have as few “I wish I had’s” or “What if’s” as possible to look back on.
